„Of The New World“ is the debut LP from singer and producer Sarah Williams White. She’s part of a new wave of artists from her corner of London, includes artists such as Mo Kolours, Henry Wu and her brother Paul White. As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Sarah cites influences including Jamie Lidell, Erykah Badu and PJ Harvey as well as more contemporary acts such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Jamie Woon and Thundercat. Her sound mixes soulful, intricate vocals with subtle beats and layered harmonies.

„Over 12 tracks, this mini-album showcases Sarah’s range of abilities. Tracks like ‘Hum’ and ‘Winter Sun’ highlight her delicate yet powerfully soulful voice, whilst ‘Rainmaker’ and ‘New World’ show her ear for unusual beats and deft musicianship. Elsewhere the hypnotic interludes (‘Arrival’, ‘Adrift) would not be out of place in the more abstract work of her fellow South Londoners over at the 22a label.“
Montréal chamber rock ensemble Esmerine return with the new full-length album „Lost Voices“, the most dynamic and incendiary record of the group’s career, following its highly-acclaimed and Juno award-winning 2013 release „Dalmak“. Led by co-founders Bruce Cawdron (Godspeed You! Black Emperor) on various mallet instruments and Rebecca Foon (Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Saltland) on cello, Esmerine also includes drummer/percussionist Jamie Thompson (The Unicorns, Islands, Little Scream) and multi-instrumentalist Brian Sanderson.
„The fifth album from the Montreal chamber rock collective is a beguiling mass of dialled-down post-rock, classical figures and exploratory soundscapes… At its most muscular (the driving electric guitars of „19/14“) or its most tender (the delicate „A Trick of the Light“), ‚Lost Voices‘ manages mood and melody with a deft and hypnotic grace. „My Mama Pinned a Rose On Me“ introduces marimba and even here, where texture takes precedence over melody, the whole remains dynamic and taut. ‚Lost Voices‘ takes time, on occasion, to breathe and relax but it steadfastly avoids the indulgence of ‚ambient‘ or wanton noodling. Beyond words, beyond beautiful.“ – The Skinny
Released October 16h, available through Constellation Records.

London based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Jack Garratt shared his new single „The Love You’re Given“. Released 28 November 2014 on Island Records UK, available on iTunes.
Everything you hear on these recordings is played by the young Londoner, which is replicated live with the frenzied, bass-heavy sound of an act far bigger in size and scale. The propulsive, motorik beat that drives through the tail-end of The Love You’ve Given suggests Jack’s music could find its niche in clubs, but such is the multi-layered craftsmanship of his songwriting, the dexterity of his vocal delivery, and the fevered, unorthodox guitar-playing, that perhaps nowhere should be off limits for this distinctively broad-minded young musician. The sample heard is the voice of Lisa Fischer, lifted from the film 20 Feet From Freedom. (via Island Records)
Detroit producer and songwriter Christian Berishaj aka JMSN, released his new album „JMSN (Blue Album)“. The LP is his second release since the debut „Priscilla“ back in 2012. Over the past years JMSN had some guest vocal-features, including Kendrick Lamar’s „Good Kid, m.A.A.d. city“, Ab-Soul’s „These Days“, and Tyga’s „Hotel California“.
“The Blue Album is starting to take form and will continue to form in ways beyond myself. That’s what I love about music and life. It’s so unpredictable. It’s so fun to go with the flow of energy and watch things form as they always do.” JMSN
The album is available from today (December 9th) on iTunes, full streaming below. Listen the remix of „Street Sweeper“ featuring Freddie Gibbs here.

Nick Hakim, is a talented singer/songwriter fromBrooklyn, he now released his solo debut EP on Earseed Records. ‚Where Will We Go Pt. 1‘, dropped July 14th and it’s available now on iTunes.
„Where Will We Go stamps a point in time that I was dealing with death within my family and community, the questioning of religion…there’s just a lot of different elements. I guess, it’s just a young kid trying to figure out what’s going on. To have other people listen to it and connect with it, and then to link with Emily King and J. Most and do an east coast tour was just amazing. They’re like family, and that experience was definitely the beginning of something“
